Bush, Putin to Try for Unity on Terror War

BUSAN, South Korea (AP) - Though their political relationship is strained, President Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin are trying to speak with one voice about the war on terror and the campaign to stop North Korea's nuclear ambitions. The two leaders were meeting Friday, apparently still at odds over how to address Iran's nuclear programs and with long-running differences over the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and U.S. concern that Russia is retreating from democracy. Far from home, Bush was on the defensive about Democrats' criticism that he had misled the nation about the need to go to war in Iraq. He also was confronted with an announcement that South Korea intends to bring home about a third of its 3,200 troops in Iraq next year. At a news conference Thursday, Bush took issue with his domestic critics and said it was "patriotic as heck to disagree with the president." But he added, "What bothers me is when people are irresponsibly using their positions and playing politics. That's exactly what is taking place in America."

That bothers me too. I for one don't understand how Mr. Moore can sit there and be so hypocritical against Halliburton in his very own documentary.......*ahem.....my, my, my.........if his viewers only knew that he owned Halliburton shares.


So yes............I can see the President's complaint, I'm sure he knew Moore used his 'position' to play politics only to misguide the American people before elections.

I don't particularly like Michael Moore. Not that it's related to this thread. Michael Moore has a responsibility in his position. He delivers news. News I mostly consider to be facts and he dramatizes it so that it looks more like a movie. Irks me for some reason. I'd like to see a link about that stock holding thing. So anyway, our president thinks that people are using their positions irresponsibly. Who could that be?
