I agree. I always respect a man willing to lay it all on the line in the name of truth.

The reality remains that we must deal with the consequences, so we must be adult enough to deal with the truth. A virtue our elected officials don't seem to hold.

I love it when the Nobel Committee sends messages. Bush tried to get ElBaradei fired two years ago, so this year they give him the Peace Price. Lacking in subtley perhaps, but I do like their style.

I think the award was politically-motivated this time, not that Barandei did much to advance peace. The IAEA under his watch saw more nuclear proliferation than it ever did before. I am pleased there is no reference in the citation to his role in the failed Iraqi inspections.
