whether you believe or not, please remove it, since it has nothing to do with you or bishop. IF JAPAN WANT TO HELP? sure, pit US against China and help to start the conflict between them, and sit waiting for its two top rivals to die...

They would be horribly weakened themselfes, though. "It is not power that corrupts but fear. | moderat-e/o-r Location: boston Posts: 11,184 | allen... chinese society is interesting to me, especially its quirks that seem kind of inhuman to me.. like during your cultural revolution how people would ritually cannibalize the enemies of the collective.. political cannibalism is a pretty rare thing to see - but it was widely accepted in china. and, this has absolutely nothing to do with japan, although i understand that all things shameful have to be japan's or someone else's fault. http://www.cefc.com.hk/uk/pc/article...art_ligne=2810 the savagery that was prevalent during the cultural revolution hasn't died in chinese society. i firmly believe that there are many chinese eager for a war against the u.s... i'm not sure if there are many americans who want the same.. your government is definitely pushing for war, and the collective seems like they'll do whatever it says. |

No chinese want to fight a war against US. We have no problems with US, except Taiwan, which US officially regards as part of China, while covertly pushs the separation. If US means to support a peacefull unification of Taiwan and mainland, as it asserts, all chinese across Taiwan strait will be much obliged to US. If US means to push for Taiwan independence, and join China's civial war under the name of "defending freedom or democracy", we will have no other alternatives, or the most ignominious and appalling servitude. Let us just pray Taiwan not go independent. I agree that there are a lot of bad stuff in China's culture. But those in your link are not true. I am sure it is from the hands of Japanese. BTW, I cannot understand why you are interested in quirks, don't people go other cultures for creams, as supposed to dregs or quirks?

| moderat-e/o-r Location: boston Posts: 11,184 | why is china pointing all those weapons at taiwan and making this issue increasingly more dire every passing day? they don't want a war? yeah right. the diplomat that just defected stated the growing social problems in china and how the commies were using taiwan as a ploy to maintain their grip on power. and i'm sorry, but i can't take you all that seriously when everything that happens is blamed on japan. they are no angels and neither are chinese commies. btw, those links ARE true.. maybe the censorship and propaganda in china erased it from the history books and said that if it happend, that it was japan's fault.. i can't do much to combat state-sponsored brainwashing.. but, those stories definitely are true. the interest in china's dark side is to understand the sort of culture we're dealing with. islamic societies have a dark history of sacrificing themselves for "the cause".. someone could question me for focusing on their quirks, just as you are now.. but in the case of islamists, those quirks have proven to be an important cultural trait to understand. in the same respect, the fact that political cannibalism was accepted in china not too long ago is a bit disturbing - especially when mixed with this overzealous sense of nationalism that china's brimming with these days. |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 672 | china's culture is a product and function of evolution over almost 5,000 years. i have no doubt it has its dark side (just like all other cultures). but based on what i know about it, i think some of us have a screwed view about china and its culture. |

| Citizen #21521 Posts: 2,599 | Does anyone remember the American General Macarthur, who wanted to nuke China for helping Korea? Or the time when America threatened to nuke Russia over a tiny island called Cuba? Well, plenty of Americans supported Macarthur and Kennedy when they threatened to nuke random countries for their own gain. Similarly, this guy is just the Chinese Macarthur. PS. China left communism in the early 1980s, so stop calling Chinese people "commies". After all, we don't call Americans "British traitors" anymore, do we? Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you. |
