WTF is this? Big news, waiting for more news. Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

| Navy Veteran Location: Texas Posts: 6,031 | What I find so odd.. is that Fox had a little blurb about thousands being evacuated then went on to thier normal routine... Uhm... isn't that news? Wouldn't you be all over that? this smells fishy, either something SERIOUS is going down and the media is being silent for the authorties, OR... somethings up and no one knows. Either way, this should be interesting to hear about. Prolly the Brit authorities are hushing it up, whatever it is, in order to prevent a panic; although I can't decide on whether they're trying to prevent their own citizens, or the US Gov't, from doing the panicking. The British populace doesn't seem -nearly- as inclined as the US towards such things, I'll certainly give them that. |

![]() Iconoclast Posts: 5,077 | I know this sounds cold, but I read of the Isrealis bombing and bull dozing Palistinian's homes and orchards so often, I am wondering why when these things, or just fear of them, happens in England or the US it is news. When they happen in Palestine of any Arab town it isn't news. Or if we do hear about it, its is old news and not something we talk about because it is happening to "them" and we don't identify with "them". Now may be if the concern is about an UFO landing, I will be more interested. |

Yes, Athena, I noticed you did the same thing in the other British explosion topic. Do not de-rail debates that do not interest you. Just stay out of what you cannot add something interesting to. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS WARNING WITHIN THIS TOPIC So it goes

| Navy Veteran Location: Texas Posts: 6,031 | Latest on Fox is that they detonated several suspicious packages but still no word on what's actually going on. They continue to evac areas. Is it possible they got a tip, and over reacted? Even at the height of The Troubles, with IRA bombs going off every few months ( and the RUC/LPS/Scotland Yard deliberately witholding warning to inflate the bodycount ) they never reacted like this. The Brits have a lot of experiance with urban bombings; this level of reaction is something new. |

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered. -George Best, on being asked what he did with his footballing fortunes. |
