Interesting...I guess they have to be seen to be doing something...but with a huge number of guns already in circulation amongst what are obviously criminal elements, I'm not entirely sure what banning gun sales will achieve, in the short term.

Good for them. Brazil is a nation with a promising future. The only thing hindering their progress is their reputation for being crime-ridden and lawless.

Well, I'll find out if this reputation is deserved in about two week's time. I'm going to Rio! Yay! :)
