| Volcanic Erupter Location: Hong Kong (for now) Posts: 6,992 | London Underground Explodes http://uk.news.yahoo.com/050707/140/fmtu4.html An explosion has "ripped a bus apart" just minutes after a number of blasts on London's Underground.Witness Belinda Seabrook said she saw an explosion rip though a bus as it approached Russell Square. "I was on the bus in front and heard an incredible bang. I turned round and half the double decker bus was in the air," she said. Scotland Yard could not confirm reports of an explosion on a bus in Russell Square. A spokeswoman said police were at the scene and attempting to determine what had happened. The entire Tube network has been shut down following the blasts at Aldgate, Edgware Road, King's Cross, Old Street and Russell Square. So do you think it's a terrorist attack? If so, it comes one day too late. London has already been awarded the games for 2012. |

I don't like to speculate but it smacks of the Madrid Bombongs all over again. I hope that dissident Irish republicans are not responsible.....or if they are I want my government (Irish rep) to crucify the bastards, starting with Bernadette Sands-McKevitt and her Husband Michael McKevitt, followed by the rest of their murdering lot. If its Abu Hamza sic? and his cronies or some other vile little piece of fundamentalist shit, same applies "Life is like a box of choclates.......it makes you fat and somebody else has taken all the nice ones" Middle East.. Lets look at the facts. look at the stations hit. The only two significant ones were Liverpool St and Kings cross. Why not Oxford circus in the rush hour? If you are after attention thats where I would hit. I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me. | Pragmatist Location: UK London Posts: 1,979 | What I am wondering, IF it is a terrorist attack, is what is the MOTIVE? Revenge for us joining in Bushes war? If so Blair is basically responsible for the attacks....or maybe it is because we are considering withdrawing and they want us to get angry and commit more troops to the region....as that may well be the response of the govt. They would be stupid to react to the enemy in that way but who ever said Governments were sensible. I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me. Yeah... that is historically the best way to deal with evil... ignore it and it will ignore you.... The blame is soley on the asshat's that carried out this attack. Period. Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route? |

| Molten Ash Posts: 32 | No, they still don't know who is responsible, apparently anybody claims responsibility for a terrorist attack and 'at this stage' it is impossible to tell. Whatever the motives for the attacks are, it will probably spread more fear among the people of England. I wonder how George Bush will react to this? Somebody hide the nukes... |

| Pragmatist Location: UK London Posts: 1,979 | I cant find any claims of responsibility, if you have a link please post it....amd yes Mr V, if you ignore and don't try to dominate other people, they generally will ignore you. Its only evil dictators that go to war over resources, I put Bush directly in that category. 911 was a direct result of America sticking its neck where is doesnt belong in the middle east over many years. The fact that America was not ignored is not surprising in the slightest and the fact that Blair supported your insane war makes us in some way culpable and more to the point, Blair directly responsible although he isnt paying the price. | Sedimentary Rock Posts: 16 | the joke is the bozo's that have done this are more likely to have done more harm to their cause than good. We are a very diverse multicultural society these days with communities that in other parts of the world are at each others throats, living quite happily together. The brits as a nation will never be changed by this sort of action. the irish tried and failed. the nazis tried terror bombing and failed to break our spirit. The real cause for concern is that unless the americans take note and do more about global warming none of us will be worrying about anything much at all |
