The British Prime Minister, The Mayor of London and various religious leaders have repeatedly said that 99.5% Muslims are law abiding people. This majority has been referred to as ‘The Silent Majority'.

As a Muslim myself, I completely agree with this statement.

However I would like to ask my fellow Muslims that where is the so called silent majority? Don't they feel that silence in current situation is criminal? Don't they feel that they have to disown these fanatics who are killing innocent people in the name of Islam?

9/11 came and went. We saw Balsan siege, Madrid bombing and now this chaos in London.

The silent majority kept criminally silent during all this. The only voice representing the Muslim people during this has been the bangs of these explosions or statements from different Mosque committees.

Now the time has come that the Muslims make their voices heard. They should come out on the streets of London and all over the world for that matter. They should completely alienate themselves from these terrorists who are neither Muslims nor Humans.

As a christian I would tell you not to be troubled. Your religion is a beautiful expression of faith and we can live together. My M.D. a devout Muslim , and she is a extraordinary ambassador of the her faith. I shudder to think how I would feel as a (open theist) christian if these goon terrorists claimed to be Christians!

If someone would judge Muslims by the monsters who kill innocents then they themselves are lesser monsters, or worse! Here in the USA the left wing media must take some blame on the misinformation and negitive spin placed at the feet all muslims. What Muslims could do is begin to shun radical leaders and build and attend Mosques which preach the moderate line. My question is...can Islam be moderate and remain true to itself?

MB talking a lot of sense! what next! Never a truer word my friend. These people, the professors or the practitioners of hate are not Muslim....I doubt you could even call them human. Guys like Abu Hamza (Finsbury Park mosque), Mullah Omar (Taleban spiritual leader) and Sheikh Ahmad Yassin (Hamas spiritual leader) have perverted the teachings of Qu'ran to suit their own twisted objectives in much the same way as all faiths have fallen victim to people like them through the ages.

The Yanks and the Brits need to learn from Maggie T's methods of dealing with terrorists (a la the IRA), don't single them out for special treatment, treat them as the criminal scum they are, get rid of places like Git'mo etc and just put them in ordinary prisons with ordinary scum.

Now for an Irishman to prasie Maggie.....that's something.

On another note, I read an article last week written by a former French Soldier who served in Indo-China and Algeria, and the main content of his argument was the same mistakes were being made in Iraq that were made in Algeria all those years ago, appears not a lot has been learned.

Farooq, all I can say is "Right On"! If the majority of Muslims think like you, then there's hope! The Muslim world should treat the extremists and terrorists as outcasts and publicly disown them. Not only that. They should also co-operate with law enforcement agencies all over the world to help apprehend these criminals!

Read my lips.... I didn't say that Christians have no equal to the goons that kill innocents. Christian have the AOG for contemporaries (that is the army of God) that are very much equals to the people who claim to be Muslims, (but arent), the killers and murders who think that killing innocents can bring about something good.
