I am sorry about that, because he is an animal rightist. People like him should not be tolerated in any government office. Hopefuls are calling him, seeking support. This makes me doubt, how I should vote. Usually I vote Democratic.

Actually, his animal rights views makes me more likely to vote for him.

Yes, I misprinted his name in a hurry, but he is not worthy of correction. What kind of rights aniimals should have in your view? Do you mean your rights to defend them? Animals cannot have rights without intervention of guardians like yourself. Do you eat meat? Do you kill ticks?

I like dogs. I think Michael Vick got justice for his maltreatment of those animals. At the same time, I support reasonable experimentation on other animals, as I believe Governor Richardson does also. So I'm no extremist PETA member, and neither is the governor. Neither can young children, mentally retarded people, fetuses, the mentally ill, the extremely elderly. There are many HUMANS who cannot speak up and defend their own rights. Should we throw those rights away too? Rights only apply to people who can defend them?
