My mistake was to extrapolate from your feverish pro-Israel stance and your remark that the US economic outlook was just fine (or words to that effect) that, ideologically speaking, you were cheek by jowl with Mr Vicchio, say.

I'm a fiscal conservative too, i.e. generally speaking I don't think government should spend money it doesn't have. It should be honest about what it needs and then go out and get it.

* Doubtless some True-Believing Libertarian will weigh in here to list doctrinal details that completelz rule out my finding.

Independence of Kurdistan is a foregone conclusion once the US leaves Iraq during the upcoming Obama administration. The will go the route of Kosovo!

More likely it will go the route of genocide/ethnic cleansing as it did in Bosnia/Herzegovinia by the Serbs.

I believe the reason that Iraq's leadership declared that they remained "unaware of any major incursion into the north" was because they felt that the Turks were doing them a favor and chose to look the other way.

And/or it may have been to avoid hostilities with Turkey.
