Edwards to quit White House race

BBC NEWS | Americas | Edwards to quit White House race

Quote:
It is not yet clear if Mr Edwards will endorse either of the two current Democratic front-runners: New York Senator and former First Lady Hillary Clinton or Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
Well, who are the right-wingers going to have palpitations about now? They'll have to settle for Hill'n'Bill.

I don't think many right or leftwingers had palpitations about Edwards? More like guffaws! He never had a chance against Clinton or Obama for anything except a VP role?

Quite frankly I don't know how Democrats can be so stupid as to provide only inexperienced lawyers as their candidates? Clinton never ran even the local PTA, never even practised much law? Experience? She aint got any? Oh thats right she can throw a good lamp once in awhile, and even cry a crocodile tear!
Obama fits the mouldy mold. short on experience and law practice?
Edwards, samo samo.
Socialists and big government types all of them? All they do is promise more government help for everybody except the rich?

GHook said he'd "leave the country" if Edwards got in.

Whereas Bush has plenty of experience a-runnin' the country, running Texas, running oil companies (into the ground) and he's still moronically incompetent.
So competence don't seem to be a criterion.

Edwards never had a hope in hell, he is peddling a policy that will see his his show go through the roof in importance. How would you like to see mystics on every corner? That is the way things should go if he was elected, as otherwise they would say he is a phoney, and no one wants a phoney for president, no matter what they did. Imagine the way he would hang onto his old ways for that sake! Mystics in the white house calling the shots! It's either that or renounce himself as a phoney, as if he really liked helping people, he would have stuck to his old ways, right?

Poison for the system!

I wonder, if John Edward had a Kuato, who would be President, the kuato or John?

President Kuato would be the coolest thing ever. Forget the "progressive" attitude that America has a black man and a woman running for office. Lets go one step further. If we elected a Kuato for President, that would strike fear and amazement into other nations.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

Stay on-topic, Compugasm. This isn't a chatroom.

Inexperienced? Please. In comparison to GWB in 2000 - Edwards has been in the Senate since 1999 after winning the election in 1998.

How can that be inexperienced?

John Edwards is by far the most likable out of any of the candidates.

How can you disagree with it? He's a true southern gentleman. I actually would vote for him if I had the chance.

You didn't finish the tale ..Edwards only served one term as a Senator?
I'm amused with the comparison to President Bush. Bush at least served as governor which is an executive position as opposed to a legislative one?
Besides you and others go on to criticize Bush's performance (as I sometime do) but then you think others with less(or no) experience will do better?
I guess we will never know about Edwards, the people in the Democrat Party dont want him either. Could be the 400 dollar haircuts and the constent primping and posing that he displayed? They want another inexperienced media type? Thats another guffaw.

Hilliary is even saying if she has her way as president she will force you to accept subsidized health care..and of course pay higher taxes. Why is it that the Democrat candidates are always promoting more giveaways and higher taxes? Why do they keep demanding more govewrnment intervention in our lives?

Others aren't necessarily brain-damaged pampered-preppy incompetents.

I think most Americans would by now jump at it.

xyzer, your country is pretty well broke after decades of living on 'free lunch' credit.

You boys jes hafta learn to pay yore bills. And that starts with your government. And that means taxes. Sorry, but that's reality.

If it means not choosing between either having needed medicine or having food, any reasonable person would seriously consider doing so. Sure, it's unfortunate if it's a government program, but survival is rather important.
