![]() Mass'Debator Posts: 4,724 | Canada reactor slows cancer tests Well this news is actually a few days old here in Canada, but I imagine it's starting to be felt around the world by now: ![]() BBC NEWS | Americas | Canada reactor slows cancer tests Quote:
A few additional companies have said they will try and pick up the lag, but most predict that won't be able to happen until sometime mid febuaray. So fo those who need scans for cancer and such, you're gonna be waiting for a while. | |

Screw the customers and they'll take their business someplace else. "Everybody knows that the boat is leaking Everybody knows that the captain lied." - Leonard Cohen |

![]() Mass'Debator Posts: 4,724 | That's the problem.... Canada isn't just the largest exporter of Uranium for the planet, but most of the world also relies on us for these isotopes (responsible for 2/3's of the worlds needs from this reactor alone.) Not too many other companies/countries have our resources to match, which is why it's a big problem that this plant shut down as it did.... there's not much of an effective backup plan from anybody else. |
