I understand the need for information, but when a man offers to betray his country for greed that person should be turned over to the proper officals. It is ok to get spies and send them into a country, but it is totaly immoral to encourage treason for cash. Don't forget that if we accept it other countries will too. If we reject it there is a level of mutual respect and trust that can not be bought. If an American offered to sell info to China, I would expect China to turn the person over to us to be tried for treason. If you deal with that kind of scum, you are no better than them. Lastly make that persons execution very public so as to leave a clear impression on our feelings towards this issue. |
