Or are we just in it for oil and the power that goes with it? Do we really need such a large establishment? Especially considering we don't see all troops leaving ever in the near future? Personally I see this as just the clear proof of a visible reminder to the Iraqi people of who their daddy is. Take away the troops and we still leave an army of personal. And of course additional troops to protect them. Typical american excess. I expect they will provide a fleet of armored Tahoe's with flexfuel technology. American excess spreads. Breaking news this may not be but pretty clear read between the lines stuff that we havn't liberated Iraq, just made it a US Territory. What do you say to an atheist who sneezes? maybe a shotgun wedding but if the gun ever is lowered we'll see how close those ties are, they could be tied around someone's neck. Take a look at this map.. I wonder why Iran thinks the U.S. may attack? http://respectsacredland.org/no-us-bases/draft3.jpg Aldous Huxley speech at berkley http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/VideoTest/hux1.ram Q&A: http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/VideoTest/hux2.ram | |

| UCFKnight Location: UCF Posts: 211 | I don't see why they wouldn't have close ties with the US, at least with the Bush administration. If Hillary gets elected then I dunno. Wow. No wonder Iran wants us out of Iraq. But then again, You wouldn't think they would provoke us by trying to get WMDs like Saddam did.
