I beleive his number of questions was over the limit as well, but the problem didn't arise until he refused to leave the mic without being dragged out.

It's even sketchy to say the guy was resisting arrest. He was clearly being handled roughly, and reacted as any number of people would react (including me, though I'd be called a "wuss" for it by Youtube geniuses, of course).

In fact, he reasonably asked them 'what have I done?' and they responded with something about "inciting a riot." Well, that's what the police were doing! They were the ones acting in a way appropriate for causing riots.

Things like this obviously explain why some people hate cops
.

The guy was obviously being a douche for the fun of it until he got tasered, begging for help like he was being dragged off to be fed to pit bulls alive is not necessary when being escorted by cops. Actually, I think the attendees would have rioted if the cops hadn't removed him, most of them applauded and it seemed like one or two ladies were all that was concerned about his welfare. I wouldn't have made a number of men with weapons drag me out of a building, I would have complied because I don't like being tasered, and If they proceeded to drag me out I would have stopped bothering them, knowing they're gonna set me down outside safe and relatively sound provided I don't continue screaming like a girl.

Did you even watch the video(s)? John Kerry actually was getting ready to answer the questions and urged the officers not to arrest him. There was no reason to believe a riot was imminent.

The problem arose when the cops started manhandling him, as clearly shown in every one of the videos I have seen. There is every indication that Kerry was willing to answer the questions, as uncomfortable as they were (that's the main point that people seem to be missing).

Then you call him a "douche bag" for reacting to police moving him around for no apparent reason (which was the case--people don't normally get escorted away by police for spekaing over a time limit at a Q&A, nor is that a practical expectation). As I suggested already, the most violent thing he did was elbow an officer and then raise his arms up the air. He said "get the fuck off me!," but that again is something officers should expect when they crowd someone who doesn't even know what he did wrong.

Many make it sound like the guy had ample time to know what was going on, but this happened in seconds. When people get crowded they tend to react out of confusion. Cops should know about basic fight or flight instincts.

Its all about the attitude, gramps. You can't deny that Meyer acted extremely disrespectful, even hostile, before the police kicked into action. You keep saying the police stepped to him because he went over a time limit. Thats not true at all. They stepped in because Meyer was, for lack of a better term, an asshole.

Meyer could have been mature and remained calm while asking these controversial questions. However that didn't jive with his agenda to make another entertaining video for his website.

So now it's the cops job to interpret "attitude" and administer punishment as they see fit??

Now matter how you slice it, Meyer was on the ground under 6 cops, there was absolutely no need to taze him.

Attitudes like his are common at Q&A's, and his attitude wasn't as awful or threatening as some make out to be.

When the police "kicked into action," he had no idea he was "inciting a riot" or doing anything worthy of arrest (and again, this is not a common means of solving such little problems at Q&A's).

That's the idea. Depsite what we're supposed to think, it's not always possible that officers (or event coordinators, who are also supposedly above criticism for some strange reason) act appropriately.

This guy was merely asking uncomfortable questions in a "rude" manner when they escorted him, as clearly shown. He was barely resisting arrest, because he was being unnecessarily manhandled.

here's actually the best angle I've seen so far, which shows how Meyer wasn't even reacting in a particularly violent way:

There may not really be much more to say on this, so I'm dropping it.
