The final vote on S-CHIP was 68-31, two votes beyond the veto-override threshhold. Now the bill goes to conference to reconcile the House and Senate versions. Bipartisanship at last!
Woohoo! Good news!

What kind of civil disobedience do you have in mind exactly?
Maybe terrorism? Scary stuff, considering the US can easily become Iraq.

Ya ya, America sucks, that's why more people want to come here then any other country...
Is this just your Internet persona or are you really like this? According to this chart, there are a few countries with a larger percent immigrant population. Your jingoistic tripe is hurting the country.

Where do I begin? False dichotomy, slippery slope, appeal to fear--the list of logical fallacies from this simple statement is astounding.

Keep trying.
Mr. Vicchio, sorry to destroy your misconceptions about the First World, but millions of non-Americans in countries like Holland, Japan, France, Canada, and Germany have no desire to live permanently in the US. They like their imperfect societies, especially their more-or-less nationalized health care when compared to America's health "system." Perhaps you heard differently down there in Texas.
