LONDON: Rising numbers of women in Britain are seeking state-funded cosmetic surgery on their genitals, doctors said.

'Designer vagina' surgery on the rise - New Zealand's source for oddstuff - strange, weird & bizarre news on Stuff.co.nz

The authors said women seeking surgery were being influenced by idealised images of genitalia shown in pornography and on private genitoplasty websites.

Ok I need a woman to explain this one.

If I am watching and listening to a talking vagina delivering a "Vagina Monologue," I would hope that it is a pretty one. Stretched ones that flab with each breath taken before uttering each word may not be aesthetically appealing.

I'm a woman and that's bizarre. The only possible practical reason I can think of is if the labia are so big they get trapped and pinched during sex. As for making them pretty...you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Vaginas are not pretty (nor are penises).

Let's face it, if you're getting all your jollies by LOOKING at your partner's genitals, you've drawn yourself a total dud.

Well you never know... that designer vagina your taxes paid for, might end up on you to use..... an investment that came back so to speak

Here in Canada, anything labeled as cosmetic is not covered by our health care and usually does have to come out of the individual's pockets. If it's a cosmetic surgery that requires special treatment or is require for an everyday functionable life, then you can probably fight to get it covered..... but that all depends on the situation.

I know that anal bleaching is becoming popular as well due to all the pornstars and strippers that are getting it done. So prettier vagina's, bleached anal, fake boobs, dyed hair, fake nails, and all the other plastic surgery. Pretty much makes that love doll osborn posted about seem like a real person. Makes one wonder about a society that seems obsessed with this kind of thing. Where does it end?
