| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 9,589 | Why would anyone have respect for Le Pen in the first place? He is a neo-fascist on his good days. And he hasn't had many good days. Rick "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Sinclair Lewis |

He has also been convicted of assault against a fellow politican and is alleged to have been a torturer during the Algerian war. Other than that.... If you wanted to make an example out of a country, it should have been done to Afghanistan. Iraq had no involvement in 9/11, yet they're taking all the brunt of the 9/11 aftermath, all the while 95% of all your media seems to have forgotten what's going on in Afghanistan |

The only reason why 9/11 has stood out that much, is because it has such strong symbolic connotations by removing an old landmark, and also, it happened on American soil, scaring the daylights out of Western citizens around the world - achieving it's REAL purpose, which is to spread terror. Otherwise, the death toll isn't that remarkable, when you look at other places in the world where people die on a daily basis in numbers that end up dwarving the death toll of 9/11. Technically though, He's right, it was an incedent and many more people were killed in the "incidents" he mentioned. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |
