Murder is good. When WE do it. Wrong when "they" do it. Right? So much official speculation. But death is so final. Should murder be the final solution in a nation of laws, including laws against murder? Quote:

Regarding forgiveness, my obligation is to forgive those who have wronged me...not forgiving those who have murdered another who can no longer perform that beneficence, being dead... Resendez did nothing to me that I need to forgive...His crime was against a person who can no longer forgive him. He remains unforgiven... That's why there is no forgiveness for murder. The victim, who could be prevailed upon to forgive if alive, has been rendered unable to do so by the murderer... Executing a murderer is just speeding his eventual exit from this world. Showing him the door... "Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self-defense." -- John Adams

Forgiveness seems like a religious thing more than anything. But, even with religion, most people can't forgive that easily. The DP is just a political tool. A way for politicians to prove they are tough on crime. I think without the DP we might actually have less crime. The DP is saying to people, muder is ok in certain cases. It is definitely hypocritical. Life to me is one hypocitical moment after another. "My one regret in life is that I'm not somebody else." - Woody Allen

For you who wail about how "Great, the state did just what the killer did, took a life" you say that with.... and it's typical around here, little context. If the State had just picked this guy, decided "Hey you are gonna die, sorry but we have a quota to fill" then you would be correct. But we all know that's not what happened. The PEOPLE of the Great State of Texas, have decided that certain actions will result in certain reactions. Basic fundementals here, you murder people, especially innocent people, in cold blood, for your own sick amusement, the State is going to end your life. IMHO this is simpley a man that volunteered for the Death Penatly through his own actions. Some have made the arguement it takes a sick mind ot commit such acts, and as such, it's a mental illness and should be treated. You could say that of all crimes. And that would be a foolish way to run a Judicial system. It's funny in a country that legalizes the murder of innocent children we are so squimish about killing convicted murderers.... Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route? |

Do you see how it is evolving? We kill people abroad, for no good reason. First. To see how well it is accepted, if the people go along with pre-emptive war abroad for NO REASON, how it will become accepted practice to kill people here in America for the slightest reason. Right now they only murder for murder. But later they can murder for criticism.
