Gunmen kill teachers in Pakistan

Two female teachers and two children have been shot dead in a tribal region of north-west Pakistan, officials say. Gunmen fired shots into the house in which the four were sleeping in Khoga Chiri village in Orakzai tribal agency. The women were Pakistanis who began working in a government-funded school two weeks ago. The girls, under fives, were daughters of one, officials say. It is not clear who carried out the attack in the deeply conservative tribal area.

Why did the women and children have to die? Why they were being educated - which the religion of peace seems to have a problem with. They are not quite clear on who did the dastardly deed, but I have a fair guess. Any perverted religion that can somehow justify this as enforcing God's will is wrong. Things like this and this isn't an isolated incident make my blood boil.

Pakistan is still as feudal society. Democracy in Pakistan is only for the super elites and army. Relegion ( distorted ) is a great tool being used to suppress the people.
FYI, the very 1st word to the Prophet sent from God is " Iqra " . It means read ( learn ) . The prophet released a lot of his enemies in exchange that they ( enemies ) should teach his followers .

Don't jump to conclusions without knowing the fact - that's a sort of fundamentalism.

I don't know why this seems worthy of commentary, its not like we didn't know terrorist Islamic fundamentalist have a low regard for human life, that they have an even lower regard for women and children should not be in doubt either. An unremarkable event, alarm over which highlights the alarmist's naivete.

Isn't that what teachers do - Teach, and help others to learn. It seems that the suppression and fundamentalism is with those who decide who can learn and what they can learn. Women and their daughters don't fit into this interpretation of the Prophet's teaching then do they.

Exactly what fact on their murder because the Pakistan government wanted those two women to teach and help all children learn did I miss?
