"Eight soldiers have been killed over the weekend, bringing the number of U.S. service members and military civilians killed in the Iraq war to 2,390."
IAW the proper posting etiquette, I just wanted to remind our participants of the additional eight GI deaths in Iraq over the weekend. I heard a short blurb on CNN this morning and had to go looking for the story, as it isn't even front page news anymore. I suppose the lack of interest or recognition has to do with the fact that they are all volunteers for this war. Meanwhile, " Ex-CIA official: WMD evidence ignored
'60 Minutes' report: White House disregarded good intelligence" (
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/23/cia.iraq/index.html) did manage to make it into the news. How much longer are the bush apologists going to stand by this lying POS that we have for a President?
Also, in spite of searches on every topic I can think of, I can't find evidence of a single family member of any of our "leaders" that is now or has in the past served in an active role in the prosecution of this war that we are being told is so crucial. Can anyone help me on this? Did any of our "leaders" lose any family members in Vietnam?
