You may very well be right. I'm the first to say that we need regulations but the factor that seems to be continuing to pop up in a lot of these instances is that they have been in areas that are supposed to be "gun free".
Democrats are about to be elected back into power, so it's useful for them to have a validation for their anti-gun views, and what better way than to sponsor some mass shootings.
