The USSR ( now Russia ) finally faced the reality that their arms race to create a big military was distructive to their budget an taking away form other things that they needed to do.
The U.S. did not face that same reality. But now it seems that our military adventures into Iraq and other places is being distructive to our national budget and the over-all economy of our country..
Super-sizing the military is supported by down-sizing other internal expendatures.
If we let our self go too far downhill we become a poor country, then we will have nothing left to defend with all our super-techno arms, except for some poor people and thier some outdated junk. |
