  4. Statements of fact versus opinions

    A while ago a post was reported to the moderators for failing to provide any citations or outside references in support of the claims it made. A reading of the post revealed that the claims made were not presented as statements of fact but rather personal opinion.

    A statement of fact is a claim presented as objective truth. No matter what you may think, this claim is true. Claims presented as statements of fact should be able to be supported by outside references. Asking for evidence ...

  5. Spam reporting

    I'm sure you've all noticed that the number of spammers on Volconvo has increased exponentially in the last few weeks. If there's a reason for this I'm unaware of it.

    What I do know is that we've also seen an increase in the number of spam reports from our members, and for that I'm extremely grateful. I used to try to thank every member personally when they reported a spammer, but recently that has become impractical due to the number of reports.
