Judging by my facebook status updates I'm seeing, Team USA just did something pretty cool.

I'm sorry, but I'd agree with you if you were right.

Won their group. Really cool but took them 91 minutes what a game.
I see England whiskered in, good for them.

    Howard and Donovan hats off.

The crucial Paraquay vs New Zealand game (crucial for us) is on 2am tomorrow morning. Just making the snacks, cos every kiwi wil be watching this, no matter where they are and even if it's minus 35 degrees (and one guy's in shorts!):

That guy in shorts is pretty much the embodiment of Kiwi's as far as my experience goes.

Italy and France out, that is the first time ever the 2 previous finalists have not got passed the group stage. This world cup is full of shocks. The Dutch are looking strong though, they have a 100% record in both the world cup and the qualifying this time round. Could it be their year at last?

Yea, that was a great result for Slovakia, but it also means, that along with our 0-0 draw with Paraquay, that New Zealand is out of the Cup. Sad, since we were unbeaten. :(

Well the tension is unbearable as the Swiss lay in supplies of gruyère and fendant, grimly preparing to gather around the TV for tonight's match against Honduras. You'll be able to hear a pin drop on the streets of Geneva, yep.

If I was Swiss now I would be really upset. After beating Spain you should have got out the group.

The SIXTH 0-0 draw in the World Cup, so about a fifth of matches have resulted in no goals for either side and exactly HOW did neither Switzerland or Honduras score after so many opportunities???

    Ok devil's advocate -

Predictions for the next few matches:

Germany vs England 2-0 to Germany
Argentina vs Mexico 3-1 to Argentina
Netherlands vs Slovakia 3-0 to Netherlands
Paraquay vs Japan 2-1 to Japan
Brazil vs Chile 4 - 1 to Brazil
Spain vs Portugal 3-2 to Spain
