A real moral dilemma

Tonight at 8:00pm, there are two reality programs I could watch on the television. Both are contrived events. One is the President of the United States' State of the Union address. The other is American Idol.

Here's the dilemma. Do I watch the one that will be vacuous exercise in lies and meaningless theater or the one that has some substance and may transform meaningfully some peoples' lives?

I think I've answered my own question. American Idol it is.

I almost shed a tear....... when the channel control in my lazy-boy didn’t work, but before I threw-up, and thought I had the swine flu, I found the room remote.
