I have completely missed this week's episode, but my contacts tell me that Adam was in the bottom two this week! I'm really not sure what to make of that. Was he awful, or something?

Like I said, they were all really outstanding, including Adam, as always. But the field really closed together, with the judges - including Simon - wildly praising each one in their turn. My only guess is that either voters assumed Adam would get plenty of votes, so they voted for who else they wanted to see in the finals, or maybe they just got tired of Adam being way out front.Quote by: CruellaDeChaCha
It was sad to see Matt go. He was very good, but... alas... I see why he was chosen. His was perhaps the least mind-blowing of five mind-blowing performances.
And as I posted about Allison, I was pleased to see that the voters agreed with me. She was in the top two, which ironically represented the only Judge flub of the night... Simon had told Allison he had liked her performance, but thought she might "be in trouble" when compared to the others. He had also praised Matt more highly than the other judges, where Randy and Paula had expressed concern.

Shame about Matt, I liked him, without ever thinking that he had a chance of winning. I think - hope - that Kris will be out this week, he's pretty, but dull.

Sadly, because he really was very, very good last week. Even I was impressed, and I haven't been one of his fans. But you're right... he doesn't have the same emotional, charismatic horsepower of Allison, Danny or Adam.Quote by: CruellaDeChaCha

For a wee bit of American Idol silliness, first note my location...

I seems that Adam Lambert was raised and went to school here in San Diego, and San Diegans are proudly claiming him as their own, with daydreams of the Finale show with Adam returning to huge cheering throngs at Mt. Carmel High School and elsewhere around town.
Alas, Adam has claimed Hollywood as his home since he graduated high school in 2000.

It was, but I missed my singalong ...

I didn't, I don't do that kind of thing since I left Club 1830.
Say, what's the latest on Susan Boyle? I haven't heard much about her for a few weeks. What that performance we all saw just a fluke? I hear she is "slow".
As for AL, I watch it sometimes. I never watch the show where the kick the guys off.
I understand that Adam was in the final three last week! I didn't see the show. Do you think there's a chance he won't win? He seems like a shoe in to me.
If he doesn't win it's got to be the lady in red hair, right? Or the little guy, he's pretty good too, but he's not in Adam's realm.

I don't watch Britain's Got Talent, so I don't have a clue what's going on with Susan Boyle, sorry!
And the news that Adam was in the bottom three last week has tickled me enormously. But then, I've never claimed to be a nice person. My usual viewing companion thought it was hilarious too though ....
