Bob Dylan - All Along the Watchtower (electric)

The accustic origional is better though, and better than the Hendrix version. But this version sums up everything great about 60s rock.

Society may be formed so as to exist without crime, without poverty, […] no obstacle whatsoever intervenes at this moment except ignorance to prevent such a state of society.

Impressive choices and some great listening everyone!

I was wondering when Dylan would appear….

Here is Rick Wakeman and Yes. Saw them in Tampa stadium in 1974. Beautiful laser light show or that could’ve been the shrooms….

Matter of taste, of course. Personally I prefer the Hendrix version.

In any case, your version is Dylan after he lost what little voice he ever had.

    Here's Dylan's original recorded version:

Dylan -- All Along The Watchtower

"I wish I was as cocksure of anything as Tom Macaulay is of everything."
    -- Viscount Melbourne

I used to have an extensive collection of original 45's ( if you're too young look it up )

and a fairly large collection of specialty LP's ( eg. some of the older folk will remember the ole' Pepsi and 7Up collector albums. ).

    So..for your listening pleasure I bring to you 5 one-hit wonders J.J.Jackson

    But it's Alright

    YouTube - J.J. Jackson - Boogaloo Baby / But It's Alright

Brainwashed by David Clayton Thomas and the Bossmen
first song to be censored ' beeped ' ( for the word damn ) they actually did it themselves because they knew it wouldn't get past the CRTC
later he went on to form Blood, Sweat, and Tears

    not available

    Gaslight by the Ugly Ducklings

    YouTube - THE UGLY DUCKLINGS - "GASLIGHT" - 1967

actually it wasn't...it was just the lead singer and the NBC Orchestra...

    To Jone by Willipus Wallupus

not available...too bad another great song

Agent 00 Soul by Charles Hatcher ( aka Edwin Starr )
only hit song he had under his real name

YouTube - EDWIN STARR - AGENT OO SOUL (1971)

Remember it well, as I do the Great CRTC Wars of those days.

I saw Blood, Sweat and Tears play at Gage Park in Hamilton a few years ago. All new except for DCT, who was hobbling a bit on a bad hip. In fact the saxophonist -- to my amazement -- was a guy I went to highschool with.

I attended the concert with a friend who spent years playing rockbands for a living. He knew a guy who had been in the Bossmen. DCT's approach was as follows: If any member of the band took a different view from him, he (DCT) would beat the crap out of him. That settled the matter. (rolls eyes)
