| Ok I'll begin with stating my opinion of the greens in general. The greens tend to be scare mongers who are after political power rather then being interested in the environment. The only difference between them and a political party is the method they has chosen to attract the publics attention.
They are pretty much solely reponsible for the rejection of GE technologies by the public at large and they look to apply the same methods which worked on Genetics to other powerful technologies looming on the horizon which could in theory be used to clean up the environment, as could genetics given the chance.
If they don't want their power base eroded they have to delay the technologies that are coming that could in effect do something about environmental pollution while they figure out how to engage the public on a different level.
I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me.
