| Sorry peter, but I think you are just looking for a heated argument with this statement. (Not with me, I'll just take your question seriously ;-)
When ppl say it they mean it in a way like: "may we (US) be happy and prosper". And since 75% of it's population calls itself Christian, it's only a way to express that. At least, this is how I see it.
And if you take it literaly: it's a way of praying to please have god bless [the US]. But I don't think you can really tell if god has blessed anyone or anything. |
