I remember long ago something my Principal from Secondary school said once in assembly. He was talking why students with asian backgrounds tend to do better at school. I vaguely remember something about the parents getting involved with the kids education, buying textbooks and sitting down with their kids and going through with it etc etc. Hang on, this isn't actually that relevant to this thread.
