in practice, the naacp has sought to differentiate black americans from other races. the organization has, in the past, worked for equal rights. as with all organizations, after they've accomplished most of their goals, they need to invent new goals so that the organization can stay alive. notice how the naacp still acts as if it's on a march with martin luther king, jr... they act as if there has been no progress whatsoever, especially when you listen to their leaders when they speak.
i wonder what people would say if whites had their own "united negro college fund"...
