| If the right to own guns was included in the Bill of Rights in order to enable the citizenry to rise up against an oppressive government, then why are the guns that would be most useful for that purpose (e.g. assault and other automatic rifles) outlawed? If only "safe" guns are going to be allowed, then we might as well limit the right to own them and require special training and permits for any individual to possess one.
