well if you really want to preserve human life then we have to allocate more money to space exploration and the finding of new techs that will allow travel to other planets... the more we do this the more of a chance we will have to destroy or avoid an asteriod if it comes close to earth because our technology will be better. Thats my opinion anyway. and also Earth is our Home planet however it cant be forever and one day it will be destroyed by who knows what ... either an asteriod, coming to close to the sun, or who knows mabye even another space race...
