1) In regards to the Teresa Kerry point, please demonstrate how she is ideologically communist. As a 2nd year politics student with a particular interest in Marxism, I would like to see how the hell someone could be bourgeous, which she very much is, and a communist.
2) In practice, communists do not advocate state control of corporations. Do I have to get out my Capital for you? Communists advocate a proletarian government taking control of the means of production from the bourgeous and inevitable counter-revolutionary forces. That would be the intermediary, socialist period. Once that has been achieved, the means of production would be returned to the proleteriat. Thats all, anything beyond that is where we start getting "x-communist" divisions of theory.
3) I'd disagree about the primary malignant forces, I would say that fascism, stalinism and neo-colonialism were (are) the prime dangers, however I'll deal with your two. Soviet-style communism is Stalinism, so we can agree there, except that it is very much dead. Fabianism is not a threat to anything, it is one possible route to a better world, although I'd argue that it is too self absorbed, and more importantly is also dead.
4) These "illegal invaders" are in fact a part of capitalism. A free market means the free flow of goods and labour. If you're anti-capitalist and support protectionism, thats your opinion, but don't rant and rave about so-and-so not being capitalist when protectionists arn't either. Muslims arn't malignant occupiers. If I look down my road I see succesful Muslim business's providing me with my groceries, accessories for my bike, teaching martial arts and, most importantly, providing me with post-piss up takeaways. There are a minority of Muslims who reject western culture, and want to see it thrown out of the middle east or perhaps even the world entirely. But they are the same as you, just with a different creed to lead them to spreading misery.
5) The turnout was better, was is trend I hope to see continue. But as both candidates must pander to those who control the wealth of the US and beyond, and not listen to the voters themselves, this election still represents a win for big business.
6) Imperialism is wrong because the empires always collapse and everyone ends up in the shit because of them. Look at Rome and Europe. Oppression throughout Europe for 450 years, then it falls apart and we have the dark ages. European empires collapse throughout Africa and SE Asia and we have dictatorships and starvation.
7) I don't believe Justin was suggesting there wasn't a jihad being waged, but that it was being hyped up for the benefit of leaders who are too weak to deal with the real problems, who must instead be subserviant to the real power in the world, money. And I personally would suggest that we do not fight those who wage jihad with conventional methods because that is inevitably a route to failure. Guerillas, which is what they are, always rely on public support to maintain them and to help to to victory. For every innocent killed, the guerrillas gain support. Read up "Guerrilla Warfare" by Guevara for such tactics. Oh, and this jihad is not newm it has been ongoing since, roughly, WWII. It's never been a real threat before, and it isn't much of one now.
8) Marriage existed long before conservative Christians gave it such narrow definitions to support their perverted, anal bigotry (hey, irony). I thought the purpose of the US being a liberal democracy rather than a fully representative democracy was to prevent mob rule and minority persecution, so why do you support the persecution of this minority?
9) It could be the result of IQ issues, or it could be the result of government undermining the labour movements that secured all of the workers rights that the rest of the western world has, which are crucial to our higher quality of life.
10) Terrorism is not a way of life for Muslims. Warfare is a way of life for someone born into war without respite. Stop attacking the Muslim world and perhaps the next generation won't become the next wave. The same shitty arguments you make were made against Catholics in N. Ireland by the right wing protestants for years, but now looks whose fighting for peace and whose trying to kill it? The right wing proddies again!
11) You're dodging his point about the airwaves being owned by a tiny minority. Nobody deserves exploiting, regardless of their circumstances. And that includes you, who appears to be well exploited by the beholders of the status-quo.
12) Governments seek to maintain their position, and if they can use these laws against lawful citizens to do so they will. In the UK the Thatcher government had MI5 list all prominent union leaders and supporters blacklisted, so they couldn't get a job. They infiltrate legal left and right wing groups that hinder their interests, like environmentalists, and try to cause disruption in these groups. I dount the US government is any more trustworthy.
13) What is it when people are forced to work for someone against their will, and accept any, if any at all, wages in return? That's right, slavery. And what is happening to a fair slice of US inmates? They're being put into work with companies like Boeing. Hey, you really are turning into the new Rome.
In conclusion, you are a brainwashed, brown nosing, jingoistic, biggoted little shit. If there's a hell, which for some strange reason I think you might believe there is, you're gonna burn for your false idolitry, worshipping Bush and the empire he wants to build.
Oops, broke the etiquette, my apologies, but I just said what you (well the sane posters) were thinking.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
