| I think there is a kind of Genius involved, but only relative to plitical "street smarts" and not over-all. The art of looking a little stupid, but speaking in simple terms which are popular with the majority of people who like non-complexity in their issues. But then when outside the public eye they are masterminding plans no sane leader would even think about doing - then looking dumb-founded if someone catches on, and appearing to have a poor memory or lack of information.
Reagan used the same kind of front as what Bush is using, that is no mistake, it is all a well thought-out mode of conduct.
And I do not mean that as some kind of conspiracy theroy, but as something self-evident.
It reminds me of those gangster movies where they appear nice to their family, go to church on Sunday and demonstrate faith, and even do some kind deeds in the eyes of the public, but at night they are out with their tommy guns killing off other gangs and masterminding all kinds of unlawfull activities to get rich quick so they can mingle with the wealthy few. The old mob boss approch in effect only with Washington and the rest of the would as it's backdrop. |
