Yep, I stayed up late and counts now favor Bush but the whole thing is so close it might as well have been a tie. John Edwards announced his party will wait until every vote has been counted, CNN did the math and if kerry got a large percentage of provisional votes he could still win the election, and those under (Ohio) state law cannot be counted until 8 to 10 days from now, and the state still uses the "hanging chad" ballets, so lawyers from both sides of the fense are swaming into Ohio and possible legal tests are in the wind. The same might apply to the state of Nev. as a 2nd front for questioning some of the other seculations that Bush has won.

No doubt Bush will return to Washington and carry on as President and might give little attention to the Kerry stand to wait it out until all voters have their say.

But I do not think Kerry has much chance to alter the Bush lead anymore the did Gore during the last election - looks like four more years of Bush.

Meanwhile out in Califorina voters have said yes to spending a billion or so dallors for stem cell research, which was supported by Republican Gov. Arnold S. Although a bit early to say, the vote to change the three stikes law is winning by a small margin. Thousands of inmates in our state prision may being seeing the light of freedom shortly.

So it looks like the votes favor Bush by a small margin but not with enough lead to count Kerry out due to many write-in or other kinds of votes still being counted.

Tune in next week for the final and absolute total and who really won when all is said and done.

With such close elections it is clear Ameircans need to reform all out voting mehtodlogies and get it down to one system that is easy to tabulate without a lot of legal or extended times for those votes left behind in the rush for victory.
