So you assert. But nothing yet to convince me of that.

And how can you be ignorant out of fear? Fear implies the realization of SOMETHING even if it not a solid possibility.
You have to know of the existence of something to fear it.

oh thats easy. Lots of times I've feared situations with unknown content. Humans do fear the unknown, its one of our major fears. Once I'd been thru the situ once, and knew how it played out, that level of fear wasnt there next time. Go thru it several times so you know it well, no fear at all.

Quote by: Lava, I've found out over and over and over again that ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance of facts keeps us doing things we would not do if we knew better, thus stops us doing our best. |
But you wouldn't KNOW you were not doing your best. Your BEST is just a subjective term and depends on different factors.[quote]
correct. So I'd stumble along doing badly, failing, screwing up, being miserable, and not know what the better way is.
Actually no, its possible, and common, to know there are better ways but not know what they are. Ignorance does not imply also ignorance of the fact that one is ignorant.
Much of the worlds problems are caused by ignorance. If we suddenly had a magical serious knowledge plug in, the majority of the screw ups and failures we have to tolerate today would disappear. The majority of our problem events would truly be over.
