A few years ago, I had this girlfriend who used to watch all kinds of old campy programs. Like, the original Batman, Dark Shadows, and Thunderbirds 2065. Thunderbirds is what Team America is based on. At first, I hated this show, but they kinda grow on you. The overacting and cheesy production values are where the humor comes in. You have to find the laughs.

So, I don't think it was a big hit, because it's a bit "ahead of its time" in it's retro concept, if that made sense. If your not a fan of that, it takes a while getting used to it.
Old Campy programs..hmpf!!...whippersnapper.
