Messages don't have to be unique in order to be genuine or to register. He's promoting a perspective on life. It's not like he's selling me a car.

You're the same guy that knocks against Ghandi's principles and didn't even know of his martyrdom while calling him a fool. So which way is it? It sounds like you only want to get these people out of your hair because they conflict with your own ideals.
