| Yesterday, Ontario's Attorney General Michael Bryant said that within a month he will introduce legislation to ban Pit Bulls in Ontario.
Those who already own the dog can keep it but must muzzle it when in public. Once legislation is passed you will not be able to breed, re-house or import Pit Bulls into Ontario.
Now, personally I'd rather see that Pit Bull owners have to get a special licens to own the dog, and that dog must pass obedience training. The owner must also go to a course to insure that he can car for the pet properly. I think a total ban on the dog is a little excesive, but I suppose better then nothing. |
