Considering the number of Jewish geniuses, one must conclude that when it comes intelligence, Jews are second to none. Doctors, professors, lawyers, writers, actors, classical musicians are occupations with a disproportionate percentage of Jews. The next time you peruse the book review section of a newspaper, note the high percentage of Jewish surnames, and Jews were instrumental in the creation of the Hollywood film industry. It should also be noted that Jews have lower crime rates and have low rates of alcoholism. Inferior genes? I wish I had Einstein's, Spielberg's or Soros's DNA.
The Jews have endured more than a thousand years of persecution and countless pogroms, yet the culture and religion endured and flourished under tolerant conditions. This is an amazing achievement. When one contemplates the high point of our culture, we should express gratitude to the great Jewish contributions. Our world would be a far less pleasant place without them.
I believe anti-Semitism, and all racism, is a form of paranoia, a disease that affects rationality and cannot be treated with facts and logic. Once prejudice seizes a mind, it poisons a person's perceptions and psyche and and distorts his values for the remainder of his life. |
