| If one is attempting to determine self identity as being something then a number of options in perception would be handy for adoption, but if one see self in it's first state as no-thing then it would be self-evident that all other formations, stages of growth, and identity masks that result from learning about self are simply tools for becoming aware of anonymous orgin within.
Like wise if you wish to know the identity of a tree you would first comprehend that you are learning a name, which can lead to a sub-name such as pine tree, which is based on surface appearance which vison is basically remote touching by the employment of memory. But also the name is not the tree because to honestly know the identity of a tree you would need to comprehend the system and the principle being employed that makes a tree a tree instead of something else as a part of a larger ecosystem which totality is universal in totality.
Seeing the anonymous or non-physical principle around which the circlur life patterns of a tree is orbiting, aka identity center of gravity, is only self evident by the physical motion of the tree through out it's generational processes of reproduction and expansion of selfhoodism. (if you do not mind me creating words where such is lacking).
Each seeker of self searches for that anonymous identity within that shall remain nameless unless found and embodied again as the soul or spirit of the physical manifestation that can allow that essence to be known via inner reflection - the medititative stillness of doing nothing allows us to experience our oneness with nothingness and thus allows that truth to become self-evident relative to everything else we have adopted as our para-identity.
