| I cannot say for sure what happened to him. It is almost certain that he perished not long after this photo was taken. |
Wrong he did survive. He become a famous movie director, big name in hollywood. In 1974 he was charged with, rape, suspicion of sodomy, child molestation and furnishing dangerous drugs to a minor. On February 1, 1978, after pleading guilty to the charges, he skipped bail and fled to France. In 2002 he manufactured a piece of propaganda designed to please jews. It did please them (2002 Academy Award for Directing.)He could not attend the awards, held in Hollywood, because he still faces sentencing of up to 50 years in prison if he ever returns to the USA.
May be it would be better if he didn't survive? What do you think a 13 year old girl he raped and sodomised would say?

| I associate this image with the portraits of the Virgin Mary in Western art. Also, it brings to mind the depictions of the goddess in Mediterrenean culture that pre-date Christianity and which fascinated writers such as Robert Graves, for example, but I think of it even when I consider the lives of major twentieth century moral figures who happen to be women, such as the Jewish-Christian Saint Edith Stein or Simon Weil. |
Jewish-Christian saint? What sort of an animal is that? Saint by definition is one who dedicated his life to serving Christ and becoming perfect Christian. Suffering alone doesn't make one a saint, by that measure, a serial killer beaten to death by prison population is a saint as well.
So these two (Edith Stein or Simon Weil) are as much saints as I am a steam train.
As to the rest of your post, there clearly is form defeating substance.
On the positive side, I can see a great career in front of you. Your ability to believe in lies you right about will ensure it.
