I am not sure of all the dates or even if the Iran Contra scandle was after President Reagan was shot. I do know that when Bush Sr had his one term in office he could not act upon it because too much light had been shed and Ollie was already forced to leave his position. (as I recall from memory). Perhaps after Reagan had his near death experience he determined he had better go along with the contra opereations "or else". I am not sure. I was just one of those lingering ideas that I had about that era, because almost no one ever attempts to shoot down a Republican leader (Abe being the exception). They seem to target liberals like Kennedy, Martin King, etc. And anit-war pro drug Rock singers that sound too liberal or anti-capitalism. (how Frank Zappa got under the wire is a mystery - guess because he advocated free speech). So I more or less winged it hoping someone would have some sort of "better researched" information to resolve my lingering suspiciosions. Readers should note my speculatons involve a trend or pattern, but should not be misstaken as more then theory. I do not recall if anyone interviewed the person who shot Reagan who was said to be "acting alone" (like all them other shooters.... hmmm?... another trend.)
