The biggest problem with freezing is that the ice crystals formed in all but the most instant freezing/defrost process will rupture the cell walls. All the cells, all their walls. Nano tech robots might be the only way to repair them but then again... can a mechanic repair a car that has been in the crusher? I don’t think so.

The only currently conceivable way to put someone in a form of suspended animation is to force them into a very low metabolic rate with drugs, hormones, and/or, my favorite, bring the individual to just above the freezing point. Not indefinite but could extend the lifespan enough for say a 100 yr RT journey.
