They have the wrong idea of sex though - people should only have sex with somebody they love and have a stable relationship.

I think it is you who has the wrong idea if you think you can determine what other people should and shouldn't be doing in regards to sex...... not everybody wants a stable relationship and maybe those people are willing to accept the consequences of their actions..... everybody has a different lifestyle.

Maybe the right thing they should be doing is only having sex in a comitted relationship..... then again, some people would say they should only be having sex with the opposite sex...... see how slippery this slope gets? Before you know it, you're no different then the people who don't understand your own sexuality.

I'm not saying that cybersex is actually sex, but it promotes promiscuity in the exact same manner as having sex with somebody you don't actually love and share a bond with.

It's not really all that different then someone getting off on a magazine or some internet video.... you just get a little more interactivity like phone sex..... but I hardly see what you're saying, except in some extreme cases perhaps.
