| The Bush people were hopeing he would not have been captured alive, now they are in a mess because most of the things he is charged with originated from the same source that told Bush he had a nuclear probgam and other weapons that are in violation of UN resolutions.
Also they are trying him under the old court laws that were in effect when Saddam was in power and according to those laws the President (who was Saddam) has immunity from being taken to court. So right off the bat the Judge is violating the same law that he is using to rule on the case pending. (which case could not be pending inside the country of Iraq under their laws if the Judge followed the letter of that law).
The messy part is that Saddam could start talking about his deals with Rumsfield and Buch Sr. (others from USA and England). Needless to say that will not be allowed until after we hold our elections.
So the most predictable thing to happen (if the Bush people want to save face) is that Saddam will die in prison before the trial starts, and some American or English doctor will record the death as the result of natual causes due to some illness he is suffering from - cancer or something. If you start to hear news reports that he is being treated by military doctors for some terminal illness then you can raise the percentages that this prediction will come true.
By "prediction" I am speaking of an educated guess, not something phychic.
