According to the Bible (in the letters John wrote to the churches) he said "you know about the anti christ who is coming, and I tell you the spirit of the anti christ is already here among you". He wrote that letter a few thousand years ago. For some reason Christians tend to over look that that letter.
Also overlooked is what Jesus said about his predictions "some of you standing here, will not taste of the 2nd death, until all these predicitons are fullfilled". So he said those signs (earthquakes -etc) would take place within the lifetimes of those listening to his speech. That was a few thousand years ago.
