I don't know that the patriot act is any more unfriendly than Clinton's know your customer plan...The idea that my bank and doctor, and certain businesses would report my activities to government was very disturbing to me, to say the least...in many ways, even more disturbing than the patriot act...
I suppose it is possible that I, as a law abiding citizen, could get swept up in some anti terrorist action...but under Clinton's plan, my activities would be reported every day regardless of whether I was under any particular investigation or not...given a choice of two distasteful options, I would opt for the patriot act...
