There is nothing to worry about if you don't decide to go to territories and do stupid things there. There are four Universities in Haifa, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and Beer-Sheva. Although Jerusalem is a little more dangerous because the fence is not completed there. All other cities are pretty safe.
